Our mission

Our mission is to stimulate the development of MINIMALLY INVASIVE medical imaging and Diagnostic solutions

CMI-NEN 2.0 is a Centre of Research Excellence (CoRE) established by RUG/UMCG, University of Twente and Siemens Healthineers Netherlands. We aim to develop and validate new medical imaging and diagnostic techniques and investigate their effectiveness in improving clinical care supported by AI and HTA.

Using our strengths

We achieve this by clustering Medical Imaging and Diagnostic research into four distinct clusters based on the potential strengths of the University of Twente and UMCG/RUG. This consortium can jointly apply for grants, such as IMDI grants for which CMI-NEN is recognised as CoRE and beyond.
